Each card has an explanation of the photo on the front:

Oenothera speciosa is a native Texas species of evening primrose known by several common names. It frequently escapes from gardens and can be invasive. The specific name, speciosa, means “showy”. This plant is frequently referred to as a buttercup, although it is not in the buttercup family.
